I built this website (actually my son, Andrew, did all of the heavy lifting) as a place to post interesting output generated by the family. You know all the times when someone asks you “Do you have any pictures/videos?”. Well, this website is the answer to that question.
Jovial Monk?
Where does the name come from?
From a pub of course.
When I was a kid my father worked for Vaux Brewery as a publican. A lot of my childhood was spend living above various pubs in the north east of England. The Albion, The Palmeston Arms, The Stapleton Arms, The King’s Head, The Yellow Rose. And of course, the excellently named Jovial Monk. My son, Andrew, took a particular liking to the name and grabbed the URL just because he could. And here we are.
